Today begins 2014. The start of a new year makes people come up with resolutions for the year.  I am hoping that many of you will add “Reading more” and “Reading to children more often” to your lists.  There are over 1.1 million homeless children in the US today.  Many don’t even own a book.  That’s where Balint Charities, Inc., comes in.  While our first year (just over 10 months now) has given nearly 1600 books and 24 musical instruments to children, clearly we have a long way to go. Whether it is by donating to us or another organization within your local area, please consider taking action in some form in 2014.
