We get such a rush packing up books for delivery!  Our next one is this week – we will be providing books to some of Alexandria’s poorest young children. School is ending for some of them so we wanted to give them reading materials for the summer.

On Wednesday, May 29th, we did our first delivery of 60 books to a local pediatrician’s office!  This partnership was made through the Reach Out and Read of Virginia organization.  There were smiles all around!  We will be making another delivery to them soon as they have a number of young patients who are in need of books.  Your donations ARE making a difference in a child’s life!

Here we go!  This is our first blog post and we are excited to be underway with Balint Charities.  Keep checking back to see what we’re doing for young children.
